How do I test the AMPS package?
To test the AMPS Package, hook it up and make sure the "Power" LED light comes on.

What setting should the charger be on?
The charger should be on the Automobile Setting.
Do I have to have the unit fully charged before using the AMPS Package?
Yes. Please charge the base unit for 48 hours before using the AMPS Package.
How often do I need to recharge my Backup Battery in my tattletale unit when I am using the AMPS Package?
The tattletale's internal backup battery will not charge if using the AMPS Package or a generator.
If it dies when you are changing marine batteries, then the tattletale will need AC power to recharge.
Can I charge the Marine Battery during the day with my generator to have enough power?
No. The battery charger requires 110 VAC Power (wall outlet) to properly charge the battery.
Will the AMPS Package charge the Backup Battery in my tattletale unit?
No, it will not charge the Backup Battery in your tattletale unit.
Can I use a regular Car Battery?
No. We do not recommend using a regular car battery because it will damage it.
Use a 12V Deep Cycle Marine Battery because it is capable of being drained and charged multiple times.
Can I use Solar Panels?
We have clients that use solar panels, but we do not offer them.

How do I hook it up?
You will need to charge one battery off site where you have constant power. Use the second battery to hook the inverter up to. Then plug the tattletale transformer into the inverter.
What kind of batteries do I need to purchase?
We recommend at least two type 29 105 AH Deep Cycle Marine Batteries.

The tattletale unit pulls less than 1 amp.
How did I blow a fuse?
Your battery may be hooked up incorrectly, or you may be using the wrong size battery.
Only use a 12V battery.
How long will the Deep Cycle Marine Batteries last?
Typically, they last 2-3 days. You will swap one while you charge the other.
This will depend on the ambient temperature, and how many times the tattletale enters an alarm state.
What happens if I hook up my Inverter up incorrectly?
If the Inverter is hooked up incorrectly, the Fault Light will come on and it will not work. You may also blow a fuse on the Inverter.
If you blow an internal Inverter fuse, you may need to purchase another Inverter, or send it in for service.
Why does the Inverter make a high-pitched squeal?
